Our Visit To Yankee Candle

Today was a LONG day, and now we are back on Long Island, and I can take inventory of my day.
Oh....and share it with you!

The 4 hour drive to the Yankee Candle Factory went very well.

I drove most of the way, and then I had to lay my head down and rest, so I slept in the bed in back of my van.

I awoke to my mom and Penny saying "Barb, we're here!"

We walked thru the doors to find scores of candle displays EVERYWHERE!

Tons of "stuff" to look at. I decided to "walk" instead of using a wheelchair. (mistake #1.)

We walked around seeing new displays, and smelling a variety of scented candles that we never heard of before.

I totally thought this was the start of a really fun day!
Mom and Penny and I even took silly touristy photo's in there and everything!

THEN..... Like a turd lying in a punch bowl....

Things started to go downhill.

I started getting light headed and ill. I think the overwhelming scents of all of those candles really got me.

My face was clammy, my stomach hurt, my head hurt, I was going downhill very fast, and had to get out of there and grab some air.

I didn't want Penny to know how really bad I was doing, so I stepped outside, and when I came back in, I tried real hard to smile, and be brave.

My mom suggested that we get me a wheelchair. So we did.
and that my friends is where
THE FUN BEGINS!

My beautiful wife Penny decided that she would

"wheel me" throughout the outlet.
(could this be mistake # 2 ??)

THE FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT RULE:

When wheeling someone in a wheelchair,
make sure you Judge the DAMN DISPLAYS!

RULE # 2 :
SEE FREAKIN' RULE # 1
Rule # 3
PLEASE TRY YOUR BEST NOT TO "LIFT" the back of the wheelchair "UP"
If you find yourself
MISJUDGING A CORNER OR A DISPLAY!!

Final rule of how to "wheel" someone around in a wheelchair
WITHOUT KILLING THEM OR ANYONE ELSE:

NEVER accidently get distracted by looking at those beautiful displays

and AIM the poor bastid' in the wheelchair at a STORE EMPLOYEE!!

It's bad for business, and it really sucks if you were expecting an employee discount!

After taking my regular meds,

I am adding PAIN KILLERS TONIGHT!!
