My Parents And The NEW WORLD

You may have neen wondering Where the hell is Barb?

I have to confess. At 40 I have been introduced to a whole new world!

And it is ALL MY PARENTS FAULT!

I haven't posted in a few days because my mom and dad

were here Thursday thru Sunday.We had a GREAT visit!

We took Mom and Dad to the "Book Store", and Dad to the "Train Store", and a family trip to the Carousel Mall. In the mall we visited Yankee Candle, Starbucks, and the Syracuse General Store.... and that's where my Mom started it!

Mom asks: "Have you ever heard of Webkinz"? I said I did, but I just didn't know what the hell these were. Well, Mom says to Penny and I to pick out 1 Webkinz each. I said ok.... and my Mom proceeds to guide us to the rack of stuffed animals.

Penny chose a cute little cocker spaniel dog, and I chose a leopard lizard!

Mind you, I really didn't know what the HUGE deal was, and Mom wasn't going to tell us until we GOT HOME! eerrrrrr!

Well, we got home, and Mom tells us to open up the tag that is attached to our animals. There is a website to go to: www.Webkinz.com

Once there, you register your pet, and ADOPT them. (Sort of like the old cabbage patch dolls only without the cabbage!)

You get to name them, sex them, and you even have to earn money to FEED them EVERYDAY, a "virual pet". I thought, Mom "I'm 40 years old" Like what the hell am I gonna do with this? I have enough things to do without being on the computer for hours, playing games for webkinz ca$h, or feeding an internet pet. No less "buy" things for a damn internet pet!

MEET MY CHAUNCEY.

So far, I am the champ at "Quizzies Corner", I not only bought Chauncey his own bed, tv, toys, favorite foods, wallpaper, and new flooring for his room....but today I bought him ANOTHER ROOM! A small room that I made his private bathroom off of his bedroom! It has a toilet, new flooring, a greenhouse wallpaper, a new bathtub, and of course some plants.

WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO ME MAA!!

And Chauncey has 2 Webkinz siblings on the way!

I ordered a retired Monkey and Gorilla!

**** On a truly theraputic note****

For anyone who has Multiple Sclerosis, or Fibromyalgia, or any cognative issues, Webkinz may be a fantastic way to excersize your brain. There are a load of puzzles, games, and things to do in this NEW WORLD that I have to say, beats out the "BRAIN AGE 1 & 2 " games. I know this was designed for children, but in all honesty, these are EXCELLENT cognative games.

I just wanted to share.
