JUNGLE LOVE.... Daisy MUST Stay.

This has been a 1 1/2 year journey of trial and error .

And yesterday my journey ended. Happily. I feel "full" inside,

and I thank Penny for putting up with me!

When I decorated the Jungle Room
I knew I wanted a "mascot" to represent the "room".

I purchased a mouse named "Stewie".
Then I realized how "cold" it was down here,
and I brought "Stewie" upstairs,
and he's been there living happily ever since.

(he's almost 2 years old now!)

Then, I purchased my 2 wonderful Dumpy Frogs.
These guys are sweet, but....
You cannot really carry them around,
and they lack in interaction and play.
I TRIED. With all my heart. I tried.
and they too....needed extra heat.
( I bought the extra heat lamps, but it just wasn't enough)
So I brought them up to our living room.

(They are still there now, but they are going to their

New Forever home this Thursday.)



Then I met a bearded dragon named "Fred".
"Fred" was fully grown,

and he lived in the pet store we went to.

The owner had "Fred" ever since he was a hatchling.

I knew then and their, that this is what I was talking about.
A buddy to carry around on my shoulders, a little dude
to represent the Jungle Room. A Pal that is responsive.

BUT THEY TOO NEED HEAT.

I found and responded to an ad on Craig's List
for a male bearded dragon.

Turns out the male was no longer available,
but they had a 6 month old lemon female to adopt out.

I picked up our new family member "Daisy"
Saturday the 14th of June.
She came WITH her enclosure heat lamps, and UV lighting,

and the name "Daisy" which we are keeping.

Now I have a "QUEEN OF THE JUNGLE"
