12 Dog Teeth and a Hand Full Of Mud

Our little baby boy Junior Angelo finally got his dental!
I have been trying to get this done for about 2 years, and FINALLY Junior is home recouperating (he had his dental on Friday).
Check this out.

We actually got BEFORE and AFTER shots of his surgery!
I NEVER got this kind of info. at ANY of my vet's on Long Island.
Junior had 12 teeth extracted. So I have been giving him soft food & baby food.
I am also giving him his pain syringe and antibiotic syringe.
Junior goes back to the vet next week for his post op check up.

Now onto today....

Well, let's go back to last night. I planted one of the 2 new trees we bought for our backyard. Last year we planted our "Faith Tree" which is a Japanese Weeping Cherry Tree. We named our tree "Faith" for our faith in God, that he will forever bless and watch over us and our home.
(This is our actual tree in our front yard)

Last Night I planted our Japanese Maple Tree.
I will show you photo's of this tree we named: "Hope" tomorrow.
Today however, was a back breaking, cow crap kind of a day!

After I dropped Penny off at work, I went to LOWES and picked out 29 Thuja Emerald Green Arborvitae's. I don't know how I got them in our RAV4.

So I beg you not to ask.
(Let's just say I drove with my boobs, and watched the road through my legs!)

I did some grocery shopping, then came home and unloaded the car. I hiked all 29 Arborvitae's to the back yard, and all the cow crap that I could carry on my shoulders.

First I planted the last tree we had gotten. Our Bonfire Patio Peach Tree. We named this tree "Joy". Then I went to town on the Arborvitae's. I never needed to use a "Tempered Garden Pick" before I came to Syracuse. The soil here is like clay and cement. Odd.

I dug, I swung the pick, I got down on my hands and knees to prepare the dirt hole, I pulled each Arborvitae out of it's little plastic pot, and gently planted it, fertilized it with the cow dung, watered it, and then dressed it with treated mulch, and finally I tamped it down firm.

I got 16 out of 29 planted today. The last five of the day I did as it POURED out raining. I just stood in our backyard, arms out, chin up to the sky and the palms of my hands facing the rain, my jeans filthy with dirt, my hands covered in mud, my hair soaked, my body broken, and I THANKED GOD for sending the rain on the plants and trees I just worked so hard on.

I got in the car, picked Penny up from work, I asked her if we could go to Dunkin' Donuts to get some donuts and a LARGE coffee & she agreed happily.

and when I told her what I had done today, MY WIFE asked me,

"DID YOU WEED WACK TODAY?"

Poor baby... 12!?! Hope he's enjoying his doggie drugs and having sweet dreams of bones and chasing cats.

Can't wait to see the pics of your landscaping work this weekend.
